Electronic cigarettes still contain nicotine, which irritates the respiratory system. Many users have also reported sore throats and a bad aftertaste. Furthermore, the US Alcohol and Tobacco Trade Bureau (TTB) has stated that they have no regulatory interest in the product because it does not contain tobacco.

The Electronic cigarette consists of a nicotine cartridge containing liquid nicotine. When a user inhales, a tiny battery powered atomizer turns a small amount of liquid nicotine into vapour. Inhaling nicotine vapour gives the user a nicotine hit in seconds rather than minutes with patches or gum.

Quitting smoking and using stop smoking products that contain nicotine like patches will keep your body depending on outer sources for its nicotine. In other words, you stopped getting nicotine from the cigarette and started getting it from the batch. So, at any given time you stop using the batches, you will feel the carving to smoke a cigarette like you quitted yesterday.
