When braiding the hair, it is also important to consider the style you hope to achieve when you are finished. In some instances it may be suitable to cornrow braid the hair from front to back. In other instances the hair may need to be braided from one side to the other. If you plan to have a part or bangs, for example, this must be considered.

Once you have started the cornrow, you are now going to pick up some hair from another area that is near the area that you are braiding. You want to definitely go ahead and add this area to then middle strand and it should be tucked under to make it one thick strand. This will in turn, create the cornrow look that you are trying to achieve! Just keep repeating this step over and over again and you will begin to see your design forming.
