With side dishes, you can choose extra salsa, extra chilli to make your dish just that bit spicy, or even choose extra lashings of sour cream that will help sooth your throat after all those jalapenos. Mexican food has a reputation for being spicy, and if you wish to try a spicy dish, then a hot chilli con carne could be a great start. If however you wish to be more adventurous then you can try a hot and spicy burrito or enchilada, cooked to your own tastes, and with as much spice as you can handle. Of course, one ingredient that you will find in Mexican food that makes their dishes extra hot is some jalapeno chilli peppers.
